The Gov Contract Finder browser extension enhances your SAM.gov browsing experience by allowing you to save government contract opportunities directly to your Gov Contract Finder account.
Data Collection and Usage
Authentication Data
- We collect and store authentication tokens to maintain your logged-in session
- Tokens are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API
- Authentication data is only used to identify your account and save opportunities
Opportunity Data
- The extension reads opportunity IDs from SAM.gov pages you visit
- Opportunity IDs are sent to our API to check save status and save opportunities
- We only collect opportunity IDs when you interact with the save button
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal browsing history beyond sam.gov
- Personally identifiable information (name, address, email) through the extension
- Location data
- Financial information
- Health information
- User activity or keystroke logging
Data Sharing
- We do not sell or transfer user data to third parties
- Data is only shared with Gov Contract Finder's own servers for the purpose of saving opportunities
- No data is used for advertising, credit determination, or unrelated purposes
Data Storage
- Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser
- Opportunity save data is stored on Gov Contract Finder servers
- You can delete extension data by removing the extension or clearing browser storage
Your Rights
- You can delete your Gov Contract Finder account at any time
- You can remove the extension to stop all data collection
